MEADOW RIDERS SNOWMOBILE CLUB
APRIL 2008 - NEWSLETTER
MMR SNOWMOBILE CLUB
P.O. Box 3522 N. Conway, N.H.
03860
We are still enjoying some good
riding as the great grooming
continues. We are thankful for
such a great snowmobile season
this year, although if any of
you feel like I do, I'm looking
forward to Spring. The State has
offered to give our club more
grant n aid money for grooming
and fuel if needed this year
because of the heavy snowfall
and the extended season. So far
this year we have groomed 2570
miles and 578 hours have been
put on our groomer. Hats off to
our dedicated groomer, Bob Bray,
once again.
The next meeting is scheduled
for April l2, 2008 at the N.
Conway Grand Hotel at Settler's
Green once again. This is
working out to be an ideal
location for us. It is central,
and we have our meeting in the
Canterbury room which is private
and quiet. The Board of
Directors meet at 5:30 pm.
Social & appetizers 6:30,
General meeting at 7:00 pm. This
is a very important meeting
because it is election of
officers time. All positions are
open, the officers as well as
the board of directors. Please
come and vote. This is the last
meeting until September.
There is a committee of 5
volunteers who are looking into
the possibility of purchasing
some land with trail access to
build our own clubhouse. They
are studying many avenues in
order to make this happen. If
this is going to become a
reality, we have to have some
financial support. It was voted
to open a separate Building Fund
Account for any monies donated
for this endeavor. We would
appreciate it if any of you
would be willing and able to
donate any amount to this
account to get this started. You
can make a check out to, MMR
BUILDING FUND , and mail it to
P.O. Box 3522, N. Conway, N.H.
03860. This is the first step
into making this happen. Thank
you in advance. We will be
looking into other ways of fund
raising toward this cause very
soon. We'll keep all of you
informed as it progresses. Thank
you all once again.
Hope to see many of you at the
April meeting.
Respectfully, Carol Munroe
